Molded by stardust, guitar strings, and craft glue, ELIS is the stage name of eighteen year old singer/songwriter Elizabeth Henderson Mullaly. She grew up listening to 2000s era pop music, under the tutelage of her older sisters, and was inspired by artists like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. She began writing songs at the age of seven, and taught herself how to play the guitar when she reached middle school. Later, she immersed herself into the world of rock n’ roll and fell in love with the work of David Bowie. His many characters are what influenced her to create ELIS, her stage persona, and Ziggy will always have a special place in her heart. Her influences now range from the Indigo Girls to Tina Turner to Florence and The Machine, and her music is a rock n’ roll inspired exploration of modern issues and storytelling. Elizabeth is now a student at the New York University Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, and she is excited to continue forging her path in music.
